Welcome on f1.poules.eu

Introduction:

F1.poules.eu is a FREE online Formula One prediction competition.
Players predict the outcome of each Grand Prix as we follow the Grand Prix season to
each race on the calendar.

To enter the game only a simple registration is required, the data gathered during registration
will stay strictly confidential and will not be passed to third parties.

New players can start playing at any given point when there is a prediction window open.
Once their first prediction is validated after the race they will appear in the ranking.

Submit predictions:

For each race on the calendar, can make te following predictions:

Qualification*:

  • Pole position     (10 Points)
  • 2nd place          (8 points)
  • 3rd place           (6 points)
  • Pole time**        (10 points)

Race*:

  • 1st Place          (10 Points)
  • 2nd Place         (8 points)
  • 3th Place          (6 points)
  • 4th Place          (5 points)
  • 5th Place          (4 points)
  • 6th Place          (3 points)
  • 7th Place          (2 points)
  • 8th Place          (1 point)
  • Fastest lap**     (10 points)
  • Fastes Driver     (5 points)
  • Non finisher       (5 points)

A new feature was introduces after the Australian Grand Prix, predict a non finisher.


If the submitted prediction corresponds with the official race result, the point shown above will be 
  added  to the players' total score

**  The pole-position and fastest lap times are considered 'correct' when the predicted time is within 
    300 ms  (0.300 Sec) of the official pole-position time or fastest race lap.

Another additional feature was brought after the Monaco Grand Prix .
When predicting a race a joker can be placed, when the prediction where you places the joker is
correct the joker will double the points on that part of the prediction.


Prediction deadlines:

Predictions can be entered and altered as many times as you like within a time window.
Prediction submission is openend 7 days before the race starts and closes 25 hours prior to the
start of the race. Outside this time window no predictions can be made.
The times used to calculate the window are based on GMT +1 times (Europe).


Ranking:

Once an admin entered the results of a Grand Prix the scores for each player will be calculated.
The player ranking will be made from the point total of all Grand Prix driven this season.
The player with the most points after the last race will be the winner of the formula1.poules.eu pool.
