Sato working on 2009 comeback
Takuma Sato is working hard on finding his way back onto the F1 grid in 2009, after the demise of the Super Aguri team left him without any options for this year. Former team mate Anthony Davidson has slotted into a test driver role again with Honda, but Sato is still looking for a seat.

However, Sato insists that while he hasn't been seen in the paddock for a while, that there are serious talks with a number of teams and that his goal is a race seat and only to become a tester if there are no seats on the race grid left open.

"We're working on it at the moment to secure a race driver seat," Sato told Autosport. "That's our main target, but we will consider a test driver seat if there is nothing else available. That's something I would have to think about much later on if everything else was closed off. Until then I will wait and see."

"At the moment there is nothing I can say," Sato responded when asked about his most likely options. "Although we are talking with a few teams, we are just at the start of our conversations. All the teams have arrived at the midseason and it is too early to think about next year."
